No you cannot fix your entire life at 2am. Go to bed.

You can fix some of it though! By going to bed.
Ever since I read a post saying "don't trust yourself after 9pm" whenever I find myself spiralling at 2am I check the time, see it's after 9pm, and remember not to trust myself and just go to sleep. Works wonders. The problems are never as bad in the morning.
[ID. Video of a woman recording an opera performance when her cat, fluffy and with bulging eyes, hops into frame. She stops singing and tries to push the cat slightly out of the way, but on her next cue the cat starts meowing before she can sing. The woman starts laughing as the cat continues meowing to the music, as though it was singing as well. End ID.]
More evidence that cats bond with us by mirroring us.
I’ve read accounts here on the Tumblr of a trans man whose cat lowered the pitch of their meow, after he started taking T. So I suspect this woman sings a lot around the house, and her cat is like: “That’s just how we do things in this clowder.”
wip of my boys to start the year off right and because i read the first two parts of moonlight over the forest by @squirrellythief and now i have drizzt/artemis brainrot again
That one theory that GLaDOS was Chell’s mother or whatever really ruined the perception of Portal 2’s story because replaying the game as an adult makes it abundantly clear that GLaDOS and Chell are obviously lesbians in a love/hate relationship
Even discounting the fact that Still Alive and Want You Gone are the gayest fuck you break-up songs in video game history, there's also the fact that Erik Johnson literally agreed with an interviewer's perception of her as a "jealous ex-girlfriend".
........yo guys does Jack Seward succeed at even a single thing he attempts in the entirety of the novel Dracula?
Yes. He succeeds at getting Van Helsing involved.
That said, that’s about it.
RIGHT. I'm just, looking at him as an ambitious and driven medical professional, his CV at the end of the novel is:
And like...it's not even always his fault?? Calling van Helsing was the only thing that might have saved Lucy and then her goddamn mother had to intervene. He just keeps either tripping over his own metaphorical feet or landing the WORST LUCK IN THE WORLD (frankly I think Mina would have Hit That if she weren't already deeply in love with Jonathan--though it's probably better for her that she was lmao) like. Even when he's actually doing well (caring for Lucy) something has to come and fuck it up for him.
Which is what takes him from "run-of-the-mill fucked up malpracticing doctor" to "soggy wet cat of a man".
Isn't this the thematic point of his character though, that he represents the shortcomings of modern medicine, and that the institution he upholds ultimately fails? He is designed to fail as long as he clings to the rational mind.
